Background information, desigh brief, specifications, limitations, testing procedure, and summer research completed. Brainstorming finalized. 3 alternate solutions have been drawn. One more is in the process of being completed.
Calendar has been developed
Outline for first informal meeting has been developed. Annual income in the process of being researched.
One more solution has been added to possible alternate solutions. It encompasses best features of previous floor plans. Will most likely be chosen.
A floor plan (not all details) will be drawn of chosen solution using CAD or similar program. Modeling will begin when basic floor plan is finalized. Display board will be used for base and either foam board or thick posterboard/cardboard will be used for the walls.
Informal presentation given to Systems Engineering II class yesterday.
Today I will be meeting with my mentor to further discuss my project and hopefully receive any advice he has for me.
Chosen alternate solution has been drawn throughout the week on CAD. It has been finalized and printed out on 1/8" = 1' scale in order for the model to be constructed. Model construction will begin next week.
Selection rejection report has been written.
Today I will be going to my mentor's office to print out my drawing on 1/4" = 1' scale on their plotter.
Model Construction is well underway.
Model Construction is nearing completition. A few inside walls still need to be added and a roof may be constructed.
Model Construction was completed on October 27, 2007. It was decided that a roof would not be constructed for the preliminary model. The outline for the formal presentation on Friday has been written. Preparation for the presentation has commenced.
Due to a recent change of events, I will be presenting on Monday now. I will also be visiting my mentor to show him my progress thus far and my model.
After visiting my mentor, we discussed how to finalize my floor plan further, and other types of drawings that I will need to know how to do for this project. My next step is to finalize the floor plan and begin the sectional detail drawing and roof plan.
